Balderdash Puppeteers
The Balderdash puppeteers are experienced performers, and are both successful puppeteers in their own right. Adults and children alike love their PERFORMANCES. The puppeteers make all the Balderdash PUPPETS, and these individual characters truly are the stars of the show. When voice and movement are added to these unique characters, they take on a life of their own!
Balderdash Puppets run WORKSHOPS for schools and festivals. Participants get to make their own puppets and learn how to use them. All are treated to a performance demonstration.
Well-loved and experienced PUPPETEERS in their own right, Brian Craddock and Daniel Anderson join forces to create their energetic and entertaining shows.
Daniel has entertained professionally since 1992 with puppets, ventriloquism, magic and song. He has performed in venues such as China Town, Woodford folk festival and the One Van International Puppet Festival. . Daniel designs and constructs his own puppet characters with complex movements including moving and blinking eyes, using materials such as latex, fake fur, fabric, fibre glass, wood, and foam.
Brian has been working with latex puppets since 1992, first with The Thinkaboutits Puppets, and then with The Wandering Bilbies. In that time he has workshopped and performed to thousands of children and adults in Queensland and the Northern Territory. In November of 2000, the Wandering Bilbies wandered to Lahore in Pakistan for the Rafi Peer Theatre Group's fifth International Puppet Festival. One of Brian's puppets, Grody II, now has a permanent place in the Puppet Museum of Pakistan as Australia's only representative.
