Jazz Poets are a Brisbane-based quartet performing a first-class repertoire of lounge, swing & cool jazz standards, latin samba & salsa, soulful blues and funk. The groups individual talents blend deliciously to form a cocktail of soothing sound perfect for hotels & resorts, wedding receptions, restaurants & cafes, cruise ships, wine & lounge bars, festivals, markets, wineries, racing carnivals, corporate & private functions. Jazz Poets' regular quartet lineup includes: Kerry Patterson - vocals & percussion Ian McWilliam - jazz & acoustic guitars Gabriel Vatavu - saxophones & clarinet Barry Sutton - drums, congas & percussion. The band can cater their lineup to your needs by including bass and/or keyboards. For an authentic latin experience, both drums and congas can also be included in the lineup. Wedding packages are available, including music for the ceremony, dinner and dancing afterwards. Jazz Poets have played for weddings and functions at many of Brisbane's finest venues, including Customs House, The Queensland Club, The Rugby Club, The Marriot, Dockside and Royal Pines Resort.
